Since this is my first blog post, i will start with what will be in this blog. As it wrote on the headline, i will plan to write about topics included but not limited to networking , network security and network automation. I may have grammar mistakes in my posts because i am lack of practice. Anyway thats enough chitchat, lets start.
There are some technical blogs and guides that i will mention below and why you should follow them.
One of the most important thing for a Network Engineer is practice and the best tool for this job from my experience is Eve-NG
EVE-NG stands for Emulated Virtual Environment – Next Generation
The tool itself is free to use for anyone but it also has a paid edition that offers extra features. I am using Community Edition and it just works fine for me. Over the last year they did discounts for certain dates like Christmas. So keep checking their website or follow owners on linkedin. It has great support and there are lots of how-to videos both on their site and youtube. So from zero to labbing takes just half hour of work. I will write another another blog post in near future just to explain the advantages of this tool.
PacketLife
This site has excellent cheat sheets. It is very useful for labbing while this sheets are around. It also has nice packet captures ready for you to examine. If you have not already visited it , I strongly recommend to take a look.
IpSpace
Training , technical posts and a supportive community sums up this site. It belongs to an Emeritus CCIE Ivan Pepelnjak who is teaching and writing books since 1990. It has a free and paid subscription plan for webinars and training. He also provides consulting packages. I am sure that you will find topics that are hard to understand explained very deeply.
I will keep this post updated with good websites related to network security and automation area. If you know any good sites/blogs or portals that should be in here just write in the comments and i will update it.
